2024 was a marquis year for AMPCO, with $53 million of complex assets through the sale of three companies to a New York based private equity buyer.

AMPCO is led by Martin Maldonado. Martin has a background in private equity, investment banking, structured finance, and industrial operations. He has worked on transactions across the life sciences, supply chain technology, industrials and commodities sectors, including cross-border deals involving manufacturing and distribution.

Prior to 2024, Mr. Maldonado advised sellers and buyers on +$350 million in other M&A and corporate finance advisory capacities at Firmament, ING Groep, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.

Mr. Maldonado is a graduate of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business where he concentrated in International Business & Political Economy, consulted with and co-authered The World Bank's Enabling The Business of Agriculture 2017 report, and wrote his bachelors’ thesis with the department of Government.
