In 2024-2025 AMPCO advised on ~$200 million of complex deal value through the sale advisory, fundless sponsor capital formation, and corporate development augmentation, involving operating platforms, private equity investors, holding companies, and secondaries investors.

AMPCO is led by Martin Maldonado, who brings experience across private equity, investment banking, structured finance, and industrial operations. Martin’s track record spans cross-border and carve-out transactions in the life sciences, supply chain/industrial technologies, and commodities sectors. Prior to founding AMPCO, Martin held roles at Firmament, ING Groep, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, advising and/or investing in +$350 million in M&A deals and +$500M in structured and distressed credit transactions.

He holds a degree in International Business and Political Economy from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. As an undergraduate, he co-authored The World Bank’s Enabling the Business of Agriculture and completed his senior thesis with Georgetown’s Department of Government.
